The basics of my power skating system include:

1. Edges
2. Body Position/Strength
3. The Peak Power PUSH
4. Balance and Power
5. Quick Starts
6. Forward and Backward Skating
7. Crossovers on a Curve
8. Lateral Move
9. Turns
10. Stops and Restarts
11. Strong Stick Position/Control

All of these skills contribute to power, speed, acceleration, and agility.

My initial focus is on stability and balance.
It then progresses to power, speed, and agility,
from there we work on acceleration.
 
The effort and positive attitude that a skater puts into improving skating skills is what he/she gets out of it.
