Yes, click here for more information. To register online click here.

3. Do you offer private or team powerskating sessions?

I live in the United States during the hockey season so unfortunately I am not available.  If you send me an email at karen@skatewithkaren.com I will email you with the dates of my summer 2010 skating school.

4. Do the skaters wear their equipment?

In order to best simulate the game playing weight, players are to wear full equipment, including sticks.

5. Will the players be practicing powerskating with the puck?

Pucks are not introduced until skaters master the basics of my powerskating technique. First skaters will learn balance, then power and agility, then speed, and then acceleration. Once mastered…we learn to maintain balance, power, speed, and acceleration with the puck.

6. What is your ratio of coaches to skaters?

There is a maximum of 6 skaters to each instructor.  By maintaining small groups, skaters get more individualized attention and have more skating time and the skating school is more effective.

Parents of skaters in past schools are very impressed with the attention their child receives in the skating school www.skatewithkaren.com/SWK/Content/About/Testimonials.aspx.

7. What ages can participate in your skating school?

My skating school is open to all age groups (initiation/mite to adult) and skating abilities (recreational to pro). Officials and coaches are also welcome to participate.
